GERALD J. HOULIHAN

Of Counsel, is an AV-rated lawyer. Jerry is a trial lawyer. He has been lead counsel in more than 95 jury trials and briefed and argued more than 75 appeals in state and federal courts nationwide. He is a member of the New York Bar where he practiced for 14 years and a member of the Florida Bar, where he has practiced since 1982. He was a federal prosecutor for 13 years: 10 years in New York and 3 years as the Chief Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. Thereafter, Jerry was an Equity Partner at Steel, Hector & Davis (1985-1991) and a Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig (1991-1995) in Miami, Florida. He then started his own firm with a concentration on business civil litigation. He has a broad range of commercial and appellate experience, including litigation of intellectual property, real estate, probate, antitrust, securities, fraud, banking, tax and healthcare disputes. His clients have included corporations, insurance companies, financial institutions, securities companies, business individuals, officers and directors in complex cases both in Florida and throughout the United States. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Bar Association, Southern District of Florida since 1986. Jerry graduated from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1968, where he was Order of the Coif and a Senior Editor of the Syracuse Law Review. Jerry received a BS from the University of Notre Dame in 1965.
