February 2010: Teresa J. Urda joins firm.
Teresa joins the firm as Senior Counsel. She focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation. Teresa has represented large and mid-sized businesses at every level of litigation and has handled multitudes of cases in federal and state court. She is a member of the Florida Bar where she has practiced since 1995. Teresa has a broad range of experience in other areas, including breach of fiduciary duty and business torts, commercial real estate litigation, construction litigation, lender liability, bankruptcy adversary proceedings, professional liability, probate and estate litigation, condominium litigation and appellate law. Teresa graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law in 1994. She has a strong commitment to community services and volunteers with Lawyers for Children.

October 2007: Cynthia Barnett Hibnick joins firm.
Cyndi joins the firms as Of Counsel. Cyndi is a civil trial attorney with an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. She focuses her practice in the areas of medical malpractice, wrongful death, products liability, nursing home liability, personal injury, civil rights violations and insurance litigation. Prior to joining Rojas Law Firm, Ms. Hibnick was the managing shareholder of a statewide boutique practice with a concentration on complex legal and medical matters. Ms. Hibnick graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1983 and magna cum laude from the University of Miami in 1979. June 2007: Jose Rojas was selected to the 2007 edition of “Best Lawyers in America” in IT and technology law.
June 2007: Alex Hoyos is named partner in the firm.

May 2007: Holly Beth Billington joins firm as Associate.
Holly Beth joined the firm on May 29th as a third year Associate having graduated in 2004 from Harvard Law School. She has significant experience in the areas of complex commercial litigation, employment law and intellectual property matters. May 2007: Firm moves to Two Datran Center.
As of May 19th, the firm relocated from downtown Miami to Two Datran Center in Kendall.
April 2007: Gerald J. Houlihan joins firm.
Jerry joins the firm as Of Counsel. Jerry is a trial lawyer. He has been lead counsel in more than 95 jury trials and briefed and argued more than 75 appeals in state and federal courts nationwide. He is a member of the New York Bar where he practiced for 14 years and a member of the Florida Bar, where he has practiced since 1982. He has a broad range of commercial and appellate experience, including litigation of intellectual property, real estate, probate, antitrust, securities, fraud, banking, tax and healthcare disputes. Jerry graduated from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1968, where he was Order of the Coif and a Senior Editor of the Syracuse Law Review. March 22, 2006: Juan R. Garcia re-joins firm as Of Counsel
Juan will once again provide corporate, transactional and international legal services to our clients and will be available to provide strategic input and dispute resolution assistance in matters involving the litigation or arbitration of complex business, international or technology-related disputes. His expertise in the telecommunications industry will provide additional depth to our technology and intellectual property practice as well.
June 4, 2005: Firm changes its name
Rojas Santos Stokes & Garcia LLP has changed its name to Rojas Law Firm LLP, effective immediately. On June 4, 2005, we moved our offices downtown to Suite 5100 of the Wachovia Financial Center at 200 South Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, Florida in order to be closer to the state and federal courts and to the Financial District.

In May, 2005 Teresa Gail Sosby, a business litigator with the top ethics and ability rating from her peers (as reported by Martindale-Hubbell), and Of Counsel to the firm for the last year, has become a Partner.
March 2005: Firm welcomes new associate attorney Alejandro F. Hoyos
In March, 2005 Alejandro F. Hoyos, has joined the firm as an associate. Hoyos and Rojas first met when both were at Holland & Knight LLP where Alex started his career.
